Jane Magdalene (ジェイン・マグダレン) is a character from the 2009 Bionic Commando.
History
Jane Magdalene lost both legs in a mine explosion while serving in the FSA army. She was then offered to be a test subject for newly developed bionic technology at TASC's Research and Development, and was fitted with bionic legs. As a result, she gained the ability to run at incredible speeds and jump great distances. She was given combat training by Nathan Spencer, and the two worked together on several missions, including Operation Blackout, which was ultimately deemed a dishonorable mission.
With the enforcement of the Bionic Purge, Magdalene, unwilling to lose her bionics, abandoned her position and disappeared underground, being dishonorably discharged of her lieutenant position. Magdalene then joined BioReign, a pro-bionic terrorist organization that seeks to revive the bionics. She is one of the organization's high-ranking officials and was active in Ascension City, with Nathan encountering her during his mission in the city.
Abilities
Jane's legs have been enhanced by bionic technology that allow her to move at high speed and withstand falls from high areas. Magdalene was known for her reckless personality, overusing her bionic legs. Perhaps because of this, her bionic implants wore out faster than anyone else in FSA's special forces, and required frequent upgrades and maintenance. Like Nathan has Emily as his catalyst, Jane has a catalyst named William Magdalene.
